. >> reporter: the four escaped convicts are dillon ray, three irons, tuwynn brown, thomas wesley johnson and tristan sws cheatle. they had been convicted of burglary and other charges but together they devised a plan. pretty crafty? >> they are. >> very early sunday morning the four men were in a shower area of their cell. they climbed up through a trap door above the shower head into a small area that houses the plumbing pipes. from there they were able to work their way about 30 feet through the plumbing crawl space, break through a concrete wall into a utility room that led out of the jail. >> this opening is 12 inches 15 inches? >> pretty close. i haven't been up there. they say it's tight. >> the breakout follows the high profile case a week and a half ago of two convicted killers serving life sentences in a florida prison who simply walked out using fake documents. they were captured by federal marshalls a short time later, but the incident has authorities reviewing the protocols for florida's prison system. and now in oklahoma they'll be doing the same thing. but in the meantime,
